Scott, the artist behind LifeSize, came of age in Seattle during a cultural boom that would shape his creative foundation. The city’s rich culture - steeped in independent coffee shops, microbreweries, iconic record stores, and vibrant local radio - instilled in him a deep appreciation for immersive experiences, especially in music.

From childhood, music was a constant. Growing up between households after his parents’ divorce, Scott was surrounded by a wide spectrum of sounds. His free-spirited father introduced him to The Beatles, Hendrix, Coltrane, Moondog, Fats Domino, Heart, Lee Hazlewood, and Talking Heads. Meanwhile, his mother played everything from Elvis and Andy Williams to Zeppelin, Sonic Youth, Pet Shop Boys, and the local legends Screaming Trees. Their contrasting tastes became the foundation of Scott’s unique sonic palette.

By his early teens, Scott was already a regular at local venues, soaking in Seattle’s punk, grunge, and art rock scenes. At 14, his mother gave him his first guitar, and with it came a realization: he wasn’t just a lifelong music fan; he was an artist.

At 16, Scott took a life-changing road trip down the Pacific Coast Highway, driving his father’s van to Mexico. A stop in San Francisco shifted everything - he knew he had found his future home. After beginning college at the University of Washington, he transferred to San Jose State to be closer to the Bay Area’s magnetic creative energy. He worked his way through school, DJed at the campus radio station, played in the local band Noisy Neighbors, and immersed himself in the region’s thriving music culture.

After graduation, Scott honored his restless spirit with years of travel - over 60 countries and counting. Each destination brought new sounds, new rhythms, and a deeper understanding of music’s universal power. Eventually, his journey led him to Los Angeles. Inspired by the city’s creative pulse and cultural diversity, Scott began recording his own material. His early demos caught the attention of Grammy-winning producer Dave Darling....and LifeSize was born.

Since then, LifeSize has released three critically acclaimed albums, each showcasing Scott’s signature blend of roots-rock storytelling and expansive, genre-blending sound. His work has earned airplay on stations like KCSN, KEXP, and The Krush, with praise from tastemakers including Bill Bowker (KRSH), Sun Press, and Incunabula.  Jim Harrington of MediaNews Group noted, “The music is impressive on so many different levels, resulting in a collection of vastly appealing roots-rock tunes that should appeal to fans of Mark Knopfler, Tom Petty, and Bruce Springsteen.”

His breakout album Woolsey marked a turning point - an emotional tribute to personal loss and a love letter to California. All proceeds from Woolsey were donated to the crisis charity Direct Relief. President & CEO Thomas Tighe shared, “Direct Relief is so deeply grateful for this extraordinary act of personal generosity… a wonderful example of everyone pulling together to protect those most vulnerable.”

With a voice that’s intimate yet expansive, LifeSize continues to carve out a space that’s both timeless and resonant. New music is on the horizon in 2025.
